Overview

We are looking for a Senior Systems Engineer who will demonstrate exceptional systems thinking, and analytical, planning, and implementation skills. The ideal candidate must be able to assist the Government in managing, troubleshooting, and enhancing the processes and outcomes for large complex information systems, networks, and the physical and logical components that integrate these systems together as an enterprise networking backbone or platform. They must be confident in assisting in the robust creation, selection, implementation, and post-assessment of integrated system designs. They must be able to assist in developing processes to a level of activities, interfaces, and roles and responsibilities that will support their execution in a live environment. The right candidate will have a strong desire to develop change management and internal communication plans in close alignment with IT service management (ITSM) personnel, principles, and tools.

The Senior Systems Engineer we seek shall have experience and demonstrated the ability to:

Job Responsibilities  

  • Support leadership in executing the ITSM architecture framework
  • Analyze and provide recommendations for adoption of emerging technologies and business process trends
  • Provide insight and recommendations in the funding and execution of IT capabilities to adoption of an enterprise resourcing and programming model
  • Provide strategic and tactical implementation guidance for full lifecycle management including Engineering Change Management processes and documentation of enterprise IT solutions and services
  • Assist in ensuring near-term value tactical initiatives are planned and achieved while pursuing long-term initiatives
  • Perform ongoing continuous service improvement of existing service management activities and processes that use Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), DEVSECOPS, and Agile development practices
  • Provide senior level stakeholder and leadership briefs, awareness sessions, and targeted training as necessary to increase ITIL adoption and to prepare for implementation of ITIL-based ITSM strategies, plans, and processes
  • Support ITSM liaisons to other major enterprise initiatives within the DoD, Navy and Marine Corps
  • Support the integration of other frameworks and standards such as, but not limited to CobiT, ISO 20000, SFIA, DOD Service Management Framework (DESMF), and Navy Process Reference Model (NPRM)
  • Conduct change readiness assessments, evaluate results, and present findings via briefing slide decks, videos, emails, readiness checklists, and quick-start guides
  • Coach various leaders, stakeholders, and change agents for effectiveness in their change-related roles
  • Develop change management and internal communication plans and supporting materials
  • Conduct change readiness assessments, evaluate results, and present findings to team and client by coordinating the development of leadership action communication products, including, but not limited to, briefing slide decks, videos, emails, readiness checklists, and quick-start guides

Mandatory Qualifications

  • Master’s degree (or Bachelor’s degree plus four years of relevant experience)
  • Systems Engineering Level III Defense Acquisition Workforce Certification, or equivalent certification, or Military experience
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of relevant experience

Desired Qualifications

  • A proven record of supporting programs with systems of systems complexity
  • Experience maintaining an organization’s business or technical infrastructure
